CURATORIAL KICK-OFF & BOOKSTORE EXHIBITIONS

Between 2014 and 2017, Justina worked as Head Curator at Bookstore Space in Amsterdam West. She initiated and hosted various solo exhibitions with national and international artists, including: 
Marjolijn Rijks, Iztok Klancar, Muge Yilmaz, Sylvain Tegroeg, Kate van Harreveld, Naomi Souwen & Willem Oudenhoven, Maaike Visser, Irina Volgareva, Stephan Blumenschein, Johanna de Schipper, Chris Meighan, Hans Hoekstra, Ailsa Kay, Daniel Dmyszewicz, duo Khurtova and Bourlanges, Olia Ganzha, Isabel Cordeiro.

MULTI-DISCIPLINARY COLLABORATION, & PLAYING WITH PERSONAL SPACE

As an experiment, she dedicated her living room in her rented apartment to bringing artists and hosts together, creating a programme which saw the intersection of visual artists and musicians. The project was called Eighteen 29 and spanned a year, from 2016 – 2017. It provided a place for the following artists to explore new ideas, practices and ways of co-working: 
Dominykas Canderis, Eun Kyoung Hwang, Iztok Klančar, Lia Satzinger, Vytautas Kumža, Titziana Kruger, Wei-Ling and Chun-Han, Dorota Radzimirska, Arta Balina and Yulia Ratman, Sandra Stanionytė and musicians Sietse van Erve, Adam Lempel, Andrius Dereviancenko, Dario Trapani, ‘Wisefire’, Rutger Muller, ‘Cast Glass’.

STRETCHING CURATORIAL FORMATS

In 2015 Justina helped programme and organize Wrong titled Films festival in Amsterdam. Between 2016 and 2017 Justina took a part in Breaking For Knowledge project and co-organized an Open door and Special guest programme at De Monsterkamer in 2017.

As of summer 2017, Justina works as an independent curator stretching curatorial formats beyond the authorship and the white cube concept.

From the beginning of 2018 together with Sema Bekirovic oganises Wildlife, a platform for performance art and meetings, giving the platform for:
Andre Avelas, Marloe, Emile Lagarde a.k.a Sun Shy Boy and Andrea Zavala, Marc Alberto, Fernanda Romann, Robbert Voges, Róża Zamołojko, Annefleur Schep, Esther Mugambi. Chun-han Chiang, Bernhard Hollinger, and Fraulein Hahnkamper, Izabella Finch, Noah Voelker, Chris Meighan.

Prior working as an independent curator Justina studied Photography and Media Art at Vilnius Academy of Arts, Miguel Hernández Faculty of Fine Arts of Altea.
